Representation - The Pitch (Yasemin Yilmaz)

In our title sequence we've decided to introduce the victims of our horror, which will hint at the story line and also set a foreboding atmosphere on where the victims fate end. However it'll only be pictures of the victims, who are several women who have been murdered by a serial killer. The serial killer won't be fully introduced apart from scenes showing his hands or other features, which will make it more intriguing for the audience to want to know who he is.

The pictures shown will be of women conveying a demographic ranked B/C/D, aged from 20-30. This is because it is quite easy to portray them as vulnerable given the circumstances as that's the stereotype role most women are given. However the sequence will also give hope for a certain woman who will be the protagonist, who will eventually be the victim then become the hero of the film which will challenge stereotypical gender roles. Setting a plot like this will hopefully make the audience more interested to see what happens next as it sets a cliffhanger on whether the serial killer will be caught or not.
