What makes a Good Title Sequence

Kyle cooper said that a title sequence sets an expectation for the film and excites the audience. The main points that Kyle made about what makes a good title sequence were: Using the font to add an overall tone and overall impression i.e. if a character in the title sequence is writing something down in a notebook then if the font looks like handwriting it will make the title sequence very effective.
Another point Kyle made about what makes a good title sequence is taking consideration of the background i.e. making sure that everything in the shot is balanced and there is a clear focus on whatever the editor is focusing on.

Kyle also said how a title sequence can sometimes be used as a short scene and then a bit of the film can be cut off to make the film shorter and this is sometimes used when there isn’t enough money so the title sequence can help add further information.
